They’re typically made from an aluminum frame and are enclosed with a face (or two) inserted into the frame. Faces can be made of a variety of materials, but are typically acrylic, polycarbonate, or aluminum. Depending on the application they can be an exterior or an interior sign option. And better yet, there is also a ton of flexibility with mounting and illumination options. They can be wall mounted or installed on a Monument, Pylon, or Pole sign. An additional bonus for cabinet signs is that the faces typically can be changed, making them a fantastic option for business parks or shopping centers!
Cabinet signs are typically the most economical illuminated sign you can purchase. Primary cost drivers for a cabinet sign are the size of the cabinet and if the cabinet will be illuminated. The cost for a non-illuminated cabinet sign typically starts around $2,500 and for an illuminated cabinet sign, around $3,500. Because cabinet size also drives cost, we recommend a budget in the $5,000 – $7,000 range for a reasonably sized illuminated cabinet sign.
