Installation of custom design signs per work order using a variety of tools and methods.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Fully inspect equipment/truck prior to each use.
- Load/ unload trucks when necessary.
- Inspect and prepare the site for installation making sure specs match work order.
- Install signage using established techniques, including electrical and welding standards.
- Connect with customer for signatures and approvals.
- Provide thorough close out documentation and proof of work daily.
- Maintain job site for efficiency, cleanliness, and to meet Company safety standards.
- Participate in daily and weekly truck/tool cleaning and maintenance.
- Report material usage and job time for each work order daily.
- Follow all company safety standards including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Attend monthly safety/training meetings.
- Perform additional responsibilities as requested.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Leads are responsible for crew apprentices/helpers
Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Solid organizational skills; able to multi-task and complete requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Resourceful; can devise creative solutions to problems.
- Proper use of hand and power tools.
- Read and write English.
- Speaking—Talking to others to convey information effectively.
- Reading Comprehension—Understanding written sentences and design artwork in work-related documents.
- Critical Thinking—Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
- Time Management—Managing one’s own time and reporting accurately.
- Attend monthly safety training meetings.
- Forklift Certification, OSHA 10, and CDL required. NCCCO preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and move.
- Must be able to lift and carry items weighing 80 pounds+.
- Must be able to lift, squat, bend, kneel, reach, pull and push substantial weight.
- Must be able to safely use a ladder.
- Must be able to work in extreme conditions (-10F-100F).
